Citizen Scientist Kit

Kids Making Sense® Air Quality Kits teach students how to measure air pollution using low-cost air quality sensors, interpret the data they collect, and take action to reduce emissions and exposure to air pollution.

Our Citizen Science kit is for the individual teacher or citizen who would like to teach or learn about the science of particulate air pollution. This kit does not come with lab supplies for classroom learning, but does include our cutting edge particle sensor and access to our cloud-based mapping website.

Here is what is included in the kit:

 

  • 1 cloud-connected particle sensor and associated smart phone
  • Teacher’s Guide and Student Workbooks (print and digital formats)
  • Access to the web-based data map
  • Support via email and phone
  • Optional add-on: Video chat with an air quality scientist
  • Optional: Teacher training is available

Note: For small groups of 3-10 students, we recommend our Small Group Kit, and for classes of 15 or more students we recommend our Classroom Kit. We offer a 10% discount when 10 or more Air Quality Citizen Scientist kits are purchased.
